What have we learned in the past 25 years? Absolutely nothing. Our National Security is as good as Barney Fife scoping out the General Store. Foreign diplomacy is reprehensible and nations have absolutely no respect for the United States.
Since 9/11, our answer has been to place $10.00 per hour security guards at all airports across our once great mighty nation and give them a name called the “Transportation Security Administration” or TSA. We made improvements by securing the cockpits for our pilots and implemented a ridiculous screening process so that infants, elderly and even decorated Veterans with prosthetics are groped and sexually assaulted. Some are even arrested without due process.
I have missed a few flights due to lack of training and performance issues which results in incredible lines at the security screening.
So, what can be done in lieu of these $10.00 an hour security guards who have no clue or training on counterterrorism or how to defuse a bomb if they ever encountered one in the first place? How do they defend innocent lives without weapons or certified hand to hand combat training?
You’re worried about my toothpaste, hand lotion or cigarette lighter? If I was a terrorist and I have 10 lbs of C4 with a detonator switch attached to me going thru TSA security check point, what is a TSA agent going to do to prevent me from blowing apart the terminal? I potentially can kill more cattle at ticket counter lines waiting for agents during a major holiday season without looking at an overweight underpaid robot in a government uniform and no visible identification on my person. I am an enigma seconds away before being blown into a thousand pieces with hundreds of others.
And, one of the two airport explosions at Brussel airport happened occured exactly that way just outside security checkpoints for ticketed passengers and near the airline check-in counters.
The subway station blast happened about an hour later in the Brussels district of Maelbeek, near the European Quarter, where European Union institutions are based.
If we had highly trained Operatives and trained military presence at airports with counterterroism proficiency and not security guard monitoring, we would likely have seen a completely different outcome. Brussels might have stopped the bomb blasts by the obvious red flags as seen on the airport surveillance video and secured the bombs and the terrorists.
The two men on the left are of obvious descent, both wearing dark clothing and wearing a black glove on their left hand which they had a detonation device in their control which led to the bomb in the luggage on their respective trollies. These were the suicide bombers. The other man on the right with the cap and glasses remotely detonated his device and fled.
So, what is the remedy? How do we prevent future terrorist attacks at airport across the world and being targeted by maggots such as ISIS?
I’ll have my answer for you tomorrow. Be vigilant and part of the solution.
