Angie Varona was a 14-year old girl who was naive by taking seductive photographs of herself and first sending them to her boyfriend. The photos for whatever reason went viral ending up on sites such as Instagram, Facebook and now here on LinkedIn where a “Isabel Viat” is using one of her seductive photos as her profile pic in in fact there is any veracity to the name or sex.

“The 18-year-old said her likeness has shown up on porn sites, humor sites and reddit.com’s now defunct “jailbait” section — where people traded and commented on photos of underage girls, even on advertisements.” There are also numerous unauthorized Facebook profiles, Twitter accounts and YouTube channels, all claiming to be Varona — one Facebook fan page has more than 41,000 likes.
A recent Google search of “Angie Varona” turned up 608,000 original search items, including 63,000 photos tagged with her name. Many of the photos out there now, Varona said, are not her originals, but copies, remakes or women pretending to be her like Isabel Viat.
Isabel sent me an invite to connect but I was immediately struck with red flags when I viewed the prima facie of the profile. First, this is a professional site. Why, would anyone post a profile pic with their ‘boobs’ hanging out and their eyes cut off?
Her profile has 58 contacts and she lists her employment as Walmart for less than 2 years in the Virgin Islands but states she comes from South Dakota. Ask yourself, why does she want to connect with you? Ask yourself, the same question given your occupation.
I found that 42 of the 58 I had shared connections. This was of the gravest concern to me when I looked at who the connections were. They were all private security contractors, Close Protection Operatives, Risk Management, Antiterrorism experts, PSD/PMC’s that “Isabel Viat” was targeting and baiting.
It left me to try to comprehend that either my shared connections who are supposed to be professionals are not concerned with their personal security, foreign affairs or matters of national security and are just that easily seduced, lonely and want to get laid by a complete hardly legal stranger.
