Islamic State states Muslims can cannibalize and harvest healthy organs from live non-Muslims.
ISIS has sanctioned organ harvesting which is a billion-dollar black market industry. This profiler maintains that by 2018, this will be the most dominent cancer in organized crime.
Trafficking in organs initially is a crime that was defined and still occurs in three broad categories. Firstly, there are cases where traffickers force or deceive the victims into giving up an organ. Secondly, there are cases where victims formally or informally agree to sell an organ and are cheated because they are not paid for the organ or are paid less than the promised price. Thirdly, vulnerable persons are treated for an ailment, which may or may not exist and thereupon organs are removed without the victim’s knowledge.
The vulnerable categories of persons include migrants, especially migrant workers, homeless persons, illiterate persons, etc. It is known that trafficking for organ trade could occur with persons of any age. Organs which are commonly traded are mostly kidneys and the liver.
Trafficking in organ trade is organized crime, involving a host of offenders. The recruiter who identifies the vulnerable person, the transporter, the staff of the hospital/ clinic and other medical centres, the medical professionals, the middlemen and contractors, the buyers, the banks where organs are stored are all involved in the racket.
It is a fact that the entire racket is rarely exposed and therefore, the dimensions are yet to be appropriately fathomed. However, there are like private agencies like Child Recovery International who track these illegal enterprises.
According to the United Nations, “The response to trafficking in organ trade has more or less been lacklusture. Considering the serious health implications and the severe human rights violations of the vulnerable victims, it is essential that this issue gets the desired attention. This requires several steps including the following:
- Appropriate laws in sync with the UN Protocols and principles.
- Stringent law enforcement against all those involved.
- Training and orientation of the law enforcement agencies as well as the medical staff who are likely to be drawn into the commission of the offence, especially for want of the dimensions of the crime.
- Awareness generation of the vulnerable sections.
- Public awareness posters and display boards, etc. to be made mandatory at the health centres, where health care is ordinarily provided.”
According to this Human/Sex Trafficking Operative, the UN has its head up its ass and the International community is not recognizing organ harvesting for what it actually is; Mass Murder for Profit.
The Islamic State has sanctioned the harvesting of human organs in ruling by the group’s Islamic scholars, which now raises the bar of barbarism and crimes against humanity that the violent extremist group is now trafficking in body parts to raise billions for their crusade.
The Islamic State ruling, contained in a January 31, 2015 document says taking organs from a living captive to save a Muslim’s life, even if it is fatal for the captive, is permissible.
I have a source that confirms the authenticity of this document which was among a treasure trove of data and other intel obtained by U.S. special forces in a raid in eastern Syria in May.
In the document, “The apostate’s life and organs don’t have to be respected and may be taken with impunity,” which is in the form of a fatwa, or religious ruling, from the Islamic State’s Research and Fatwa Committee.
“Organs that end the captive’s life if removed: The removal of that type is also not prohibited,” Fatwa Number 68 says.
The document does not offer any proof that Islamic State actually engages in organ harvesting or organ trafficking but it does provide religious sanction for doing so under the group’s harsh interpretation of Islam. Previously, Iraq has accused Islamic State of harvesting human organs and trafficking them for profit.
The document does not define “apostate,” though the Islamic State has killed or imprisoned non-Muslims, such as Christians, and Shiite Muslims, as well as Sunni Muslims who don’t follow its extremist views.
U.S. officials say the records that were seized have given the U.S. government a deep look into how Islamic State organizes, raises funds and codifies laws for its followers but does not share that intel with the public for obvious reasons. China has and continue to be notorious for mass organ harvesting and Human Trafficking across the board has set a new precedent in the past 5 years of selling trafficked persons for huge profit in lieu of prostitution or forced labor.
Iraq’s ambassador to the United Nations, Mohamed Ali Alhakim, said the documents should be examined by the U.N. Security Council as evidence that Islamic State could be trafficking in organs to raise cash.
The May raid in Syria, which resulted in the death of Islamic State top financial official Abu Sayyaf and the capture of his wife, netted seven terabytes of data in the form of computer hard drives, thumb drives, CDs, DVDs and papers, said Brett McGurk, U.S. President Barack Obama’s Special Presidential Envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter ISIL, in an interview. Abu Sayyaf was a Tunisian militant whose real name was Fathi ben Awn ben Jildi Murad al-Tunisi.
U.S. officials have previously described the Abu Sayyaf raid and some of the documentation seized. But until now, none of the actual documents have been released – aside from Islamic State’s trafficking in antiquities, made public at an event at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art in September.
The U.S. government has shared some of the documents from the Abu Sayyaf raid with allied governments in an effort to increase their understanding of Islamic State in recent weeks as Washington works to shore up support for countering the group.
This is just another example of crimes against humanity being brushed underneath the carpet and not taking intervention while thousands including Americans are captured, killed and sold for profit and other practices for Barbarism.
For instance, “Fatwa Number 64” dated January 29, 2015, provides detailed rules for rape, prescribing when Islamic State men can and cannot have sexual intercourse with female slaves.
The fatwa sanctioning organ harvesting justifies the practice in part by drawing an analogy to cannibalism in extreme circumstances, a practice it says earlier Islamic scholars had allowed. “A group of Islamic scholars have permitted, if necessary, one to kill the apostate in order to eat his flesh, which is part of benefiting from his body,” it says.
Islamic State’s Research and Fatwa Committee reports directly to the group’s leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
The document provides a religious justification for harnessing the organs of what they call infidels. The harvesting is carried out in mobile surgical labs by recruited doctors.
In February, the U.N. Security Council was urged to investigate the deaths of 12 doctors in the Islamic State-held city of Mosul as they were allegedly killed after refusing to remove organs.
